Description of Madonna delle Grazie beach
This is a small and sunny beach, consisting of a wild-looking cove which has a narrow sandy and pebbly shore. On either side of the beach the uncomfortable rock formations, make the marine environment a natural habitat for many fish. In fact, this is a beautiful snorkeling and diving spot.In the past fishermen have carved these rocks in order to create caves where to shelter their boats. The signs of the caves are still visible today.
Among the services provided at the beach there are a bar with a restaurant and a diving school. About 200 meters from the beach, there is the Sanctuary of the Madonna delle Grazie, built in the sixteenth century. The beach is connected to the nearby beaches of Maretto and Stecchi Due thanks to a short trail that goes up the northern coast.
Access to the beach of Madonna delle Grazie
From Capoliveri, following the signs to Madonna delle Grazie and Innamorata, there is a fork to the right after about 800 meters, which leads to the seaside resort, where at the end of the road you can park along the way.
